A little on UX Research
Hi! My name is Yulin [yoo-leen]. I am a UX researcher powered by curiosity toward this world. I enjoy learning about people through conversations, observation, and sometimes—if applicable—their biographies. More excitingly, I get to extract insights from these moments and find ways to connect my team to what I find.
I practice every day on my UX research craft: one shall be able to define goals and objectives, align study guides with the goals, conduct the studies, analyze the results, and last but not least, share the insights and tell a story of the impact to small or large audiences. It is also my passion to foster a collaborative working environment through co-design activities, where a team practices empathy toward users; there is no other way through ambiguity.
To learn more about my experience, you may check out my project writing and blogs. Currently, I am also hosting free mentor sessions on ADPList to share my experience about the job search process with career seekers.

I am hosting two podcasts in Mandarin Chinese, one on ethnographic research as part of the global research organization, EPIC, where I chat with researchers working in various industries on research methods and impact.
The other one is called “Small Waves 🌊 👋” — I am hoping to use this as a channel for people like my folks to understand what my peers and I are doing, in the States.
