The Candlelight on A Rainy Day in Seattle at Cha:n
Chan:n (you are right, there is a colon in here) Seattle is a modern Korean fusion restaurant right by Pike's Place in Seattle. There is a bar, behind which is a heated busy kitchen visible to all customers. The fact that having less than 10 tables present, with candles and the based-on-my-dim-memory red hue -- told me that the meal was gonna be such a high-end and private experience.I never expected a tuna tartare to be this addicting. I used to get tired by the end of a tartare dish because of the heavy sauce on the sashimi. Here, pulling each tuna strip from the cake-shaped pile, accompanied by half a slice of fresh avocado -- heaven. It is such an interesting marinated flavor -- I've sensed the taste of sweet soy sauce and the sensational sashimi itself only. The Dumpling Soup? I am sorry for having dropped this draft such a long time ago that I can't recall the precise taste of it now, but what I can assure is that it is a dish that warms your heart on a cold rainy day.Ginger Creme Brûlée is the winner on Yelp -- of course I would get one for myself as a creme brûlée lover (though not one for ginger)!I told my good friend who I had the fortune to share this meal with, that if my future boyfriend was to ask her for suggestions on where would be a nice place to eat -- let him know it's a place like this.
