Building a website is a complex learning process. How can we provide the most useful guidance to users? In the past 18 months, I applied explorative and evaluative methods to study users’ website-building experience and continuously shared insights with a collaborative product team.

We wanted to teach users how to start building their website. What is the right amount of guidance and information? How much should a website template provide?

It’s a real big deal to understand if people are able to follow the instructions in the manual to connect and install their voice-enhancing headphones. The report was for the FDA by the way.
